Who Knew?

FLG had no idea that what was next after changing marriage is that it is between one man and one woman is the changing the definition of what man and what woman means.  He thought the next step would be polygamy.

That was certainly the issue with judges' deciding gay marriage was written into the Constitution. If gay marriage is required by the Constitution (which, of course, it very obviously isn't), there is no obvious reason why polygamy isn't as well, which is after all a far more ancient institution than gay marriage, which nobody realized anybody wanted or needed until about 25 years ago.

Leave it to the legislatures and the problem isn't a problem. Legislatures can forbid or allow anything they want without having to give a reasoned opinion for distinguishing two obviously like things as unlike. Judges do not (or at least should not) have that luxury.

So it absolutely should lead to polygamy if anyone has any intellectual consistency. But I agree, didn't see your link coming.
