FLG learned that hot dog, frankfurter, and wiener are not synonymous. An all beef hot dog is a frankfurter, while one with pork is a wiener because they trace their origins back to, surprise, surprise, Frankfurt and Vienna.
BTW, FLG is a huge fan of Vienna Beef hot dogs. In the food rivalry between NYC and Chicago, NYC pizza is better, but Chicago hot dogs win hands down. Although, FLG isn't a huge fan of the neon green relish. Looks like it's been irradiated or something.

Agreed, though I've never quite understood Chicago's insistence that hot dogs not have ketchup.
