Just the other day, when Kagan was sworn in, there was another big gush of commentary on how the courts (and therefore the law) are being changed by female appointments. Now I think that's true and a good thing.

But I have to think a man would have written a somewhat different paper -- for all the same reasons that women are changing the court system.

I've been saying that for years. There's even an old post arguing that exact thing, but I'm too lazy to find it now
