The FLGs' Garden

Last time we visited the FLGs' garden it was a temporary sand pit for Miss FLG. Well, the FLGs and the plants have been busy.  We cleared out the area surrounding the raised bed and planted flowers, zucchini and yellow squash (middle), and pumpkin (those leaves in the back).

FLG filled in the raised bed and planted (clockwise from top left) lavender, three types of tomatoes, chili peppers, rosemary, Italian parsley, sweet basil, Thai basil, oregano, lemon thyme, peppermint, and spearmint.  They've all been growing splendidly, except the Thai basil, which in years past grew the best.  Although, that was on an apartment balcony in a pot.

Behind the raised bed, FLG decided to plant corn.  The damn birds kept digging up the seeds, so FLG bought an owl, which has been guarding the plot ever since and with some effectiveness he might add.
