District 9

FLG watched District 9 this weekend. He'd heard a lot of good reviews and excited to see it. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. In fact, FLG is pretty confident that if it weren't for the novelty of being set in South Africa, then it would've have gotten much hype at all. Not that it's a bad film. Merely a mediocre one.
