Plato Blogging

According to the poll, there isn't too much interest in Plato blogging. FLG doesn't really care and is going to do it anyway. However, Withywindle raised a good point:
I'm against an advance commitment to any long-term project. You'll feel obligated to write, your readers will feel obligated to read, the fun will go. Be spontaneous.

So, this is the deal. FLG is going to try to blog about Phaedrus, and then the entire Republic book by book. Since he has a lot of commitments and he has to read, then analyze, and then blog, he's going to give himself two weeks per section. That means Phaedrus in two weeks, then Book I of The Republic two weeks later.

Feel free to read along, or not. Feel free to respond to the posts, or not. FLG may slack a bit. He might not. But that's the basic idea. He's going to create a new tag, Plato, so that you can easily sort them.

For those of you who are interested, here's a link to an internet version of Phaedrus. In fact, FLG thinks he'll treat the Internet Classics Archive as the definitive text he will reference for convenience sake.

Okay, but pose as a different fictional character for each blog post. Provide the view of Darth Vader one post and Yosemite Sam the next.
