Blogging Plato's Republic

FLG is contemplating blogging The Republic to prove his point. He'd, however, start with Phaedrus. He'd also publish what he is going to read in advance, week by week, so that you can follow along.

A man alleged to have a cork,
Stuck to the end of his fork,
Will blog about Plato,
And rail against NATO,
All while trying not to appear a big dork!

Yeah, good luck with that. ;-)

"8:22 PM. Man, it's all Greek to me."

"8:24. Still Greek."

"8:25. Looked at the right-hand pages. English! Much better. Wait, is this a philosophy book or a play? I'm so confused."

"8:26. Have decided to live-blog Hunter Thompson instead."

I'm against an advance commitment to any long-term project. You'll feel obligated to write, your readers will feel obligated to read, the fun will go. Be spontaneous.
