The FLGs are still unpacking and getting used to the new house, which is why blogging has been slow. In fact, they just found where they'd put Miss FLG.

So, did you choose Arlingon? Tacky Park? Chantilly? dave.s.
Great photo and great timing on the house. These past few months have been the best house buying opportunity of my lifetime. Low interest rates (though they've started to tick up, but still historically low), home values having been restored to historical norms after the insanity of the last six years (and maybe even a bit lower than they should be so the housing market may have overcorrected), and an $8000 tax credit (if you haven't owned a home in the last three years). A perfect storm really.
Even better, the news media is still all gloom and doom about house buying so not nearly enough people have seized the opportunity. (Not that you should unless buying a house makes sense for you and you'd just been waiting for the right time.)

"My new studio is compact, but charmant. I will call it Carton Acres."
