Passive Voice

GEC once took the time to write three to four paragraphs of comments in passive voice explaining how my paper was riddled with passive voice. That's how he rolls.

Anywho, via arethusa comes this CNN article, which analyzes the relative complexity of the vice presidential candidates' speech patterns:

"[Passive voice] obscures the doer of the action," said Language Monitor President Paul Payack, an independent with no political affiliation.
