Nicolas Sarkozy wants to direct the Eurozone until 2010.
He claims that this is to manage the financial crisis, but it is a truly ballsy grab for power. The EU presidency rotates every 6 months. France and Sarkozy currently hold the office until the end of the year, when the Czech Republic would take over. The second half of 2009 will be Sweden's turn. I'm frankly astonished that he has the balls to call for it.
