An open letter to the winter wind that blows across the Key Bridge

Dear wind,

Your roar overwhelms my senses. Your soulless tentacles steal my warmth. Your icy hatred burns my face. Your ally, detritus, stings my eyes. Your homicidal plan is revealed each time your relentless force pushes me toward the oncoming traffic.

I await the moment that the warmth of Spring banishes you to the hell from whence you came, and I am once again spared the terrible torment of your torrents.
